Hi, I'm Alperen, a composer and artist based in Ankara, Turkey. I started my music journey playing the piano, and studied at the Eskişehir State Conservatory from 2015 to 2022. Right now, I'm in my fourth year of my Bachelor of Music in Composition at Bilkent University.

During my time at Bilkent, I studied with Onur Yıldırım for my first few years and I am currently working with Tolga Yayalar. In 2025, I had a great semester in Hannover, Germany as an Erasmus student, where I studied with Aaron Cassidy and got to attend the Donaueschingen Festival. I actually started writing music during the 2020 pandemic using Reaper, and since then, I've enjoyed exploring different tools, including MaxMSP, OM, RTCmix and Csound.

At the end of the day, I just love making art and learning about how we perceive it. I am really interested in psychology, philosophy, and history, and these topics often inspire my music. I like to try out a new idea or explore a topic I have never encountered before with every piece I write. Right now, I am really interested in internet aesthetics, prodecural music and creating set of compositional tools. Because I focus on the concept first, sometimes my projects turn into something else entirely, like digital design or and 3D art in Blender.

Besides my academic work, I also work as a sound engineer at Radio Bilkent and compose music for a game startup called Reject Games. This website is mainly a clean space for my contemporary classical pieces.
